Ears to hear & eyes to see. Isaiah’s prophecy fulfilled in Matthew

Matthew 13:10-22: And coming near, the students said to Him, Why do you speak to them in parables? And answering, He said to them, ‘‘Because to you it has been given to know the mysteries of the Government of the Heavens, but it has not been given to those. For whoever has, to him it will be given, and he will have abundance. But whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken from him. Because of this, I speak to them In parables, because seeing, they do not see, and hearing, they do not hear, nor do they understand.

The enemies of Christ are not able to understand His parables. Neither can God’s enemies understand the mysteries that Jesus has made known to His believers. Jesus has shown us the Truth and taken away the mysteries that the world will never understand. When the verses say ‘’ For whoever has, to him it will be given, and he will have abundance. But whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken from him.’’ this is confusing to futurist judeos. The meaning here is that those who have indwelled the Separated Mentality of Christ will have the wisdom of God in abundance. Those who have rejected the Anointed Master will die the second death.

And the prophecy of Isaiah is fulfilled upon them, which says, ‘In hearing you will hear and in no way know, and seeing, you will see and no way perceive. For the heart of this people has grown fat, and they heard heavily with the ears, and their eyes were closed, lest they see with the eyes and they hear with the ears, and understand with the heart, and be converted, and I heal them. Matthew 13.14,15

Here is yet another preterist statement in the New Testament. The Prophecy that was given to the prophet Isaiah in The book of Isaiah 6.9,10 is fulfilled here in Matthew as the Scripture says. And he said, ‘’Go, and say to this people: ‘You will listen by listening, but you will not understand, and looking you will look, but you will not perceive.’ For this people’s heart has grown fat, and with their ears they have heard heavily, and they have shut their eyes so that they might not see with their eyes and hear with their ears and understand with their heart and turn and I would heal them.’’ Isaiah 6.9,10

But your eyes are blessed, because they see, and your ears, because they hear. For truly I say to you, that many prophets and just ones desired to see what you see, and did not see, and to hear what you hear, and did not hear. Therefore, you hear the parable of the sower: Everyone hearing of the Word of the Government and not understanding, the evil one comes and catches away that which was sown in his heart. This is that sown by the wayside. And that sown on the rocky places is this: the one hearing the Word and receiving it at once with joy, but has no root in himself, but is temporary, and tribulation or persecution occurring through the Word, he is at once offended. And that sown into the thorns is this: the one hearing the Word and the Word and the anxiety of this age and the deceit of riches choke off the Word, and it becomes unfruitful.” Matthew 13.16-22
